SEO
Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and/or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results.
This is best achieved at the very beginning of a new website build by first ensuring that the site can be easily indexed by the relevant search engines as not all websites support this fully. It is far easier to ensure that the site is fully compliment at the build stage than having to rebuild a poorly thought out site.
search engine optimisation can help to bring traffic to a low ranking site
Whilst the new site is being built it is important to establish correct and relevant keywords and search terms to maximise its attractiveness to the search engines (there is no substitute for good, quality content). Keywords are obtained using a multitude of techniques utilising tools such as Google Analytics, research into the target demography and by examining successful competing web sites to ascertain what makes them attractive to the relevant search engines.
Once the site is live then the focus changes to monitoring the websites performance with the overall aim of achieving a good search engine results page (SERP) position. It is also important to establish which parts of the site are performing well and which parts poorly so amendments can be made. This is of course a very simple overview of the processes involved but well implemented SEO can make a huge difference to the amount and quality of the traffic to the web site.

Search Engine Marketing
We also offer a range of search engine marketing (SEM) services. These services are based upon the pay per click (PPC) advertising model. We manage a marketing campaign on your behalf targeting a range of different search terms. We evaluate the value of different search terms and then bid on them on your behalf, against your competitors to get the given ad spot.
Campaigns like this can be launched immediately and give instant results. This is particularly useful at the launch of a new website whilst it attempts to establish a good natural search engine position (which can take time).
